The Sheffield Business Directory is a web development project focused exclusively on the Sheffield area in the UK. This directory takes away all the ''fluff'' usually accompanying web directories. The front page of the site offers you an interactive map of Sheffield, with a category selector to choose the business type you select. Information windows on the pins gives you a quick overview of the listings.

You still have the ability to browse by category as well. We add new category requests within 24 hrs. All listings are free. Registration is required to add your business link. All links are manually approved.The listings on the directory is supported by FREE google map source code, allowing a more visual map style approach to list business locations in Sheffield. Social Networking has not been excluded, and we have integrated facebook comments on the listings, allowing you to share and discuss as you wish.

The Sheffield Venue Directory is the second stage of this web project which ads a venue finder capability to Sheffield Directory. Tourism, weddings, functions, student functions and a wealth of other reasons will make this web directory a gem. There is a broad range of catgeories to add your venue to.Users will have the ability to find the venue they are attending, with local hotels, BnB and guest houses only a category click away.

The site can also be browsed by category, and every listing also has facebook integrated in the comment system. The map functions, espcially with category search and locality view, males the directory an invaluable tool for anyone ahich needs to attend any function, or any venue, in the Sheffield region.

The Sheffield Training Course Directory is the third section of the Sheffield Directory project to be added. This section is NOW in the final stage of testing, and will be available in September 2011. This section focus on training courses in Sheffield and the surrounding area.

Agencies dealing with various training courses in the region will also find that we have prepared the directory with ease of use in mind. Any course that has been added once can be used as a base module, and quickly be edited to reflect new dates and venues for the training. Booking links to the various training providers are NOT managed by us, and we require NO commission or rates to list their individually listed training courses.

The Sheffield SEO Project is the SEO section of the Sheffield Directory project. This section allows us to ''manipulate'' specific placements of catgeories in the search engines. We can ''drive'' the web domain, as well as seperate sections of the directory to better search placements.

The concept of this section is to illustrate the work load, and the process required to get your web domain placed in the search engines for attracting traffic. I will update this section with the progress, and how we manage to get the results we want. Different than many developers, we do most of the project work online, and publish the impact some of the SEO efforts have on the various placements of keywords for Sheffield in the search results.
